On July 5th, 1989, former legislator Chuan-Jin Lo established Fortune Junior College of Technology, the first college in Chi-Mei area. Following the School Motto“Greet the Spring with Peace” and School Spirit “ Treat others with honesty and found the Business on it, ” the educators of this college ,who have been working in every walk of life,educate outstanding graduates with both technology and humanistic instruction. On August First, 1989, Fortune Junior College of Technology was promoted as Fortune Institute of Technology (FIT), continuing its well-known reputation in the education field.
Under the leadership of the present president Wen-chun Chen, FIT aims to realize its education goal of being practical, macro-perspective and excellence with the strategy of “stepping into the international society through the foundation base in FIT and taking advantages of the superiorities to create the greatest achievement.” With “Healthy and Joyful Education”as the characteristic of school education and “Academics First and Education First”as the belief, FIT endeavors to become a technology of university with grand perspective, high quality, and superb efficiency.
